Keep Kids Creative

We all know the importance of creative play in learning and wellbeing. One way kids express themselves is through arts and crafts. In lock-down, they are chalking on pavements, and using their drawings to communicate on windows. But some lack even basic materials like paper, paint and crayons.

We all want our kid’s to grow up safe, healthy and happy, and with the same opportunities to fulfil their dreams and potential. But the challenges that the Coronavirus outbreak present are not the same in all households.

Although everyone's lives are changing, it is the most disadvantaged communities that are suffering the most.

Many families are trapped in their homes with limited food resources, let alone the money to purchase supplies to entertain and educate their kids . Many also have no laptops so cannot access internet activities and lessons. The effect this lack of resources will have on many children’s future wellbeing and educational opportunities is immeasurable.

Mums United Sheffield has therefore been collecting donations of art & craft materials, and delivering them to those children most in need.We have delivered activity packs to over 250 children.
